Things to know about me:     

• It takes a lot for me to physically hate something or someone.

• I am unashamedly a computer nerd.

• I'm a jack of all trades, but (sadly) master of none.

• Whilst I'm comfortable doing things on my own, I'd love someone to share my experiences with.

• For many years, I tried to go through life like a superhero. It's only recently that I realised that I'm very VERY human.

 

Hi, I'm Ninh Ly.
 

I’m one of the quirkiest guys you’ll ever meet, and I possess the most eclectic bunch of skills you're likely to encounter.
 

Growing up to immigrant Chinese parents in England, I’ve always been embroiled in a mass confusion of conflicting cultures.

I don’t think I ever fit in, wherever I went?
School, college, university … I was always the unique outsider, who was generally quite liked by everyone, but not the most popular guy around.
I’m actually quite proud of that fact, though using the words ‘local celebrity’ would sound very egotistical, so I won’t call myself that.

I had many dreams when I was younger ... fire-fighter, police officer, ice hockey player, professional millionaire.
None of them really panned out and I ended up drifting into careers that I thought I could do well at. These include gym manager, personal trainer, stunt worker in films, graphic designer, retail supervisor, sports blogger for NHL.com and (most recently) an estate agent.

It took me almost 33 years to figure out that my biggest attribute is that I enjoy helping people improve their lives and making them smile. To be able to make a difference in the world. To bring joy, help people solve their problems and to give people the opportunity to achieve their true potential in life.

So here I am!

 

I'm embarking on a new journey where the future is undetermined.
I quit a very good estate agency job (with a good salary) to start a YouTube self-help channel. I’m confident that my videos can help people with their day-to-day problems and spread a bit of humour whilst doing so. It’s going to be a lot of work, a lot of sacrifice and I’m going to have to be extremely disciplined to pull it off. But the ‘end-game’ for me is that it would make me happy knowing that I made a positive difference in people’s lives.

​I've always believed that being multi-talented is the key to success in life.

This project is going to take all of my rather ‘eclectic skills’ to pull off, as I’m the only one doing all the work. All the editing, all the book writing, all the recording and all the publicity.
But I know that if all this work makes a difference to just one person’s life … then it’s worth all my hours of effort.
